Statement on COVID-19
We hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and safe. We know that the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has created a lot of uncertainty and we wanted to reassure you and answer questions you may have. Flowers Mill Veterinary Hospital will continue to operate as normally as possible, providing care to sick and healthy animals during these difficult times. If the situation develops, we will inform you of any changes and establish a plan to ensure your pets receive the proper care. The Flowers Mill staff will continue to maintain a clean and hygienic facility with frequent sanitizing. Employees who display symptoms are encouraged to stay home to maintain the health and safety of our staff and clients.
Health Concerns Relating to COVID-19 and Your Pets:
There have been no reports of animals contracting COVID-19 from humans or vice versa, but we still strongly recommend washing your hands regularly.
COVID-19 and Appointments:
If you are displaying symptoms or have been exposed to someone who is, let us know. If your appointment is not urgent (annual check-ups, nail trims, non-rabies vaccines) we can reschedule for a more appropriate time. If your pet’s visit is urgent or cannot be rescheduled, please have a healthy family member or friend bring your pet for their visit. If this is not possible, call us on arrival and we will meet you at your car, take the history, and walk your pet inside and return them to your car afterward.
If you are healthy, we are operating normally, but we do ask that while waiting you maintain a social distance. You are more than welcome to wait in your car or go for a walk around the property and we will inform you when it is your turn. When in the exam room, you will be asked to allow the nurse to handle your pet to enable a reasonable distance is maintained.
Boarding and Surgery pick-ups and drop-offs will operate as normal.
Food and Medicine:
Food and medicine pick-up will continue to operate normally. We do ask that if your order is not urgent, place it through our online store VETSOURCE. If you are unsure how to place an order online or need a refill more rapidly, call us at 215-752-1010.
